ALUMNI AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS:
Please join us for the Rally in the Yard and the Homecoming 2019 game. How can you participate in the Rally in the Yard? Get your high school friends together to parade in our Homecoming 2019 parade that will be held on Thursday, September 12. The parade will stage at 5:30 P.M. If your organization is interested in having a float in our HoCo 19 parade, click the Parade Interest Form button to the left. Each participant in the Homecoming parade (float/vehicle/walker) must have a waiver of liability. The waiver is available by clicking the waiver button to the left. It is Homecoming week, and we have had several alumni ask about tailgating in the end zone and reserving seats in the bleachers. In light of the new security measures and the high demand of people requesting to tailgate in the end zone, we have had to change the way we have traditionally allowed alumni to tailgate in the north end zone. Here are the new guidelines. --No one will be allowed to tailgate in the north end zone. --Tailgating will be allowed in the south end zone only with the following requirements: -----One representative from each tailgating group will need to be the contact person for the group. -----Each group who wishes to tailgate in the north end zone must pay a $50 fee by noon on Friday, September 13. The fee can be delivered to the front office of MGM. This fee/pass does not include admission to the game. A separate ticket must be purchased by each person for game admission. -----The representative will then receive 25 passes to distribute to tailgaters. -----Only 10 groups will be allowed to tailgate for a total of 250 people/passes only in the end zone. -----Spots in the end zone are on a first come, first served basis. -----Nothing will be provided by MGM for use in the end zone. Tailgaters must provide their own tents, chairs, tables, etc. ___Tailgaters must be set up with all items in the end zone by 5:00 P.M. on game day. -----Once set up by 5:00 P.M. all tailgaters must leave the field/stadium to go through the new entry process at the gate on the home side of the stadium. -----All end zone tailgaters will be required to enter the stadium before the game by going through the same requirements/procedures as set forth by MCPSS. -----South end zone tailgaters must show their passes at the gate at the south entry to the track to be admitted into the tailgating area. No one will be allowed entry through the north gate. --MGM will not reserve sections/rows of the bleachers for alumni classes. If a representative of a class wishes to reserve a section for the class, he/she may do so before 5:00 P.M. Then the representative must leave the stadium to go through admission requirements/procedures as set forth by MCPSS. MGM can not guarantee any reserved sections will remain available as fans enter the stadium. Questions and concerns should be directed to MGM's Athletic Director Brenda Box. Join the Mary G. Montgomery High School Alumni Facebook page to connect with people from your decade. |
